Street Scenes Collection
Street Vendor Series
Street vendors are New York City's soul, providing meals, services, or goods that can showcase a country or culture. During the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic, they served as pharmacists, selling masks, cleaning supplies, and hand sanitizer.
This series pays tribute to the street vendors.
Despite being criminalized and penalized, socially or by the law, street vendors are upheld as part of NYC culture while paying fines, facing systemic threats, and harsh working conditions. Support local vendors and read more about how to support them by the Street Vendor Project here.
